Niantic's "Pokemon Go" fever continues. Although it's not as high as before there are still millions of players worldwide. However, due to the mess it left in some areas where gyms are placed, Milwaukee decided to add an extra layer of security to Augmented Reality games by having them secure a permit before they include Milwaukee parks in their hunting ground.

The Verge reported that the Milwaukee County Parks department has requested Niantic to comply with their local ordinances. The "Pokemon Go" developers have to secure a permit before using the county parks.

The report notes that this is due to the mess "Pokemon Go" trainers left in the parks. Pokemon trainers swarmed Lake Park that resulted in thousands of dollars of damages. This includes empty beer cans, piles of trash and overflowing toilets, Engadget added. Aside from the mess in the surroundings, a number of residents are not happy with the traffic congestion, noise and unauthorized vendors that flock in the area due to the high volume of prospective customers. So, the county distributed hundreds of citations to players for littering and park opening hours.

Park supervisor Sheldon Wasserman campaigned that the county sue Niantic for "running an event in the park without a permit." There are no updates what's the legal move the county will take. However, they created a new ordinance requiring the augmented reality games developers including "Pokemon Go" Niantic to secure a permit before placing in-game locations and interaction in the parks.

This is not the first time "Pokemon Go" was involved in a mess against government officials. For instance, a French mayor prohibited the game in his town last year. Meanwhile, China also banned Niantic's game due to its potential risk to personal and national security.

Do you agree that "Pokemon Go" increases the risk to personal and national security? Do you support Milwaukee's move? Does it make a difference or should the county ban Niantic's game instead? Drop a comment below.
