AMD Ryzen and Intel Kaby Lake is going to a fierce battle of supremacy as soon as they're both available. In the preparation for the battle, Intel has reported to drops the price of its flagship chip. On the other hand, AMD seems to be in the lead as of right now, with Ryzen proving to get additional edges vs. Kaby Lake.

As expected, to stay in its place, Intel drops its prices to compromise with Ryze's threat. As reported by Forbes, i5-7640K now offers 200MHz more frequency than that of the earlier Core i5-7600K.  Not only that, Core i5-7640K will also be featuring hyper-threading, which was only offered with the Core i7K series. In addition, another Core i7K processor will also be release, the Core i7-7740K, which might be on the front line vs. AMD Ryzen. The Core i5-7600K which costs $240 could drop into below $200.

Prices for AMD are expected to be cheaper than the Intel's pricey counterpart. The top end Intel Core i7-6900K which is $1000 might see its AMD Ryzen's counterpart priced $580 to $720. Intel's Core i7-6850K which is $600 will be seeing its AMD counterpart prized around $250. AMD Ryzen is also expected to come on smaller size compared to Intel's Skylake, which is the predecessor of Kaby Lake.

In addition, the Ryzen was reported to support the much-loved Windows 7operating system. Currently, 40% of desktop users are still using the Windows 7. However, neither Intel nor Microsoft supports Windows 7. The announcement was made during an information session held by Computerbase. There is a possibility that AMD is aiming for the Windows 7 users not just because they are still the biggest fishes in

the sea, but because it will be easier for the users to upgrade their hardware with AMD in the future.
