After the potential for rebellion was introduced in "The Walking Dead" Season 7's midseason finale, fans of the AMC show have been counting the days for the hiatus to be over just so they could see the old Rick Grimes back in command of a mutiny against Negan and his Saviors. When the show returns for the second half of the season, there will be a lot of changes both good and bad.

According to a report by Rolling Stone, the second half of "The Walking Dead" Season 7 could bring together the communities that it established in the first half, including The Kingdom and the Hilltop Colony together with Rick's Alexandria. While the Oceanside women were dead set on not being found, it was also established that they had their own bone to pick with the Saviors making it possible to form an alliance with their group as well.

However, going up against Negan takes careful planning and strategy and it also needs solid leadership from Rick, who, after being broken by Negan would obviously be in no hurry to jump in on the action without a foolproof plan. In the midseason finale of "The Walking Dead" Season 7, while Daryl has escaped Negan's clutches, his time with the Saviors has also not been a picnic so it is expected that Rick and his right hand man would need some time to regroup before executing any mutiny plot against the villain. Maggie and Michonne are expected to step up at this time, especially since both women have the experience and the levelheadedness to lead the three communities to victory.

Carl, on the other hand, may also need some close monitoring after spending time with Negan since Rick's son has shown signs of susceptibility to the Savior leader's philosophy. Meanwhile, some good news may come in the form of additional survivors who may pitch in with Rick's war on Negan. Most definitely, help will come in the most unlikely places and could come as soon as the Feb. 19 episode of "The Walking Dead" Season 7B, reported Entertainment Weekly.

"I'm just going to say that Rick is going to meet this person and/or persons pretty quickly. The answers are just around the heap. I cannot wait for people to meet this character and to see this actor. There is some formidable fun coming up," showrunner Scott M. Gimple promised.

The Walking Dead Season 7 returns to AMC on February 12.
