Nintendo Switch Pre-order Updates: There Will Be No Cancellation, GameStop Gives 1K More

Fans must've nearly had a heart attack when news about Nintendo Switch pre-order cancellation came out. Luckily, the news was proven to be a false alarm as GameStop denied the cancellation. Instead, they are giving 1,000 more pre-orders.

Earlier this week, there are customers from Target and GameStop claiming that they're having problems regarding their Ninteno Switch pre-orders. No one wants to have a repeat of Nintendo Classic Mini's disastrous supply shortage. Every fans wanted to play the Nintendo Switch on March 3, it would be another Nintendo disaster if another supply shortage will happen.

As per Express, fans can now sigh a big relief because GameStop confirmed that they will not be cancelling any Nintendo Switch Pre-orders. GameStop representative says that "GameStop has not, and is not, cancelling any Nintendo Switch pre-orders due to allocation issues."

"Should any customer who pre-ordered a Nintendo Switch console from GameStop experience any issue with their order, we encourage them to contact our Guest Care team so we can help resolve the issue.", the representative added.

And another good news, GameStop will be a giving 1,000 chances for a Nintendo Switch pre-order. BGR reported that GameStop will be hosting its Power-Up Rewards Pro Day sales event. The event will feature games, hardware and apparel discounts. And they will also be giving a Nintendo Switch pre-order chance for 1,000 random customers. The event will be today, February 11, 2017.

The Nintendo Switch will be released on March 3 and is expected to have a demand same with the Nintendo Classic Mini. With the release date almost here, game retailers are processing more and more pre-orders. These game pre-orders are also nearing its supply wipe-out and some stores are already sold-out. This could be the last chance to get a Nintendo Switch pre-order so better check the site while the event lasts.
