The ending of the Valentine episode of "Supergirl" Season 2 was super romantic. It could have ended with more than a confession of Kara to Mon-El regarding her feelings for him. But an alien with an unpronounceable name chose to appear at such an inopportune moment and ruined the sweet atmosphere. And Mon-El does not take too kindly to Mr. Mxyzptlk's designs on his lady-love.

Chris Wood, speaking to TVLine, said that his character Mon-El hates the prankster villain. He interrupted their lovey-dovey moment, a time when the two of them could have sealed their mutual feelings with a kiss. On top of that, Mr. Mxyzptlk uses his magic to convince Kara to marry him in the next episode of "Supergirl" Season 2.

And as the latest promo for "Mr. Mxyzptlk and Mrs. Mxyzptlk" shows, Mon-El responds to the Fifth Dimension imp with angry punches. Those are not ordinary punches too. Every one of those was punctuated with his love for Kara and a warning to not touch his girl.  But while the magical alien's appearance threw a wrench into Mon-El and Kara's romance, it definitely brings more spice into "Supergirl" Season 2.

For one, Mr. Mxyzptlk is going to do everything he can to get Kara to marry him in "Supergirl" Season 2. That includes magically changing her ordinary civilian clothing to a pretty wedding dress. His antics does not just involve Kara alone and those close to her too. Even National City is affected. The extended promo for the next "Supergirl" episode shows the whippersnapper fooling everyone by suiting up as Kara's male counterpart. Yes, he dressed up as Superman and fans can look forward to hearing the classic, "It's a bird! It's a plane! It's Superman!" lines.

It sure is problematic for everybody around. And on top of it all, Mon-El and Kara are going to have some tense moments. Screen Rant wrote that the two of them will butt heads with regard to the rascal alien and what to do with him. Will things smoothen out for the two would-be lovers? Everyone will know next week when "Supergirl" Season 2 airs on The CW.
