PlayStation 4 owners of "Resident Evil 7" get a post-Valentine treat from Capcom. The 1.02 update, as well as the upcoming "The Banned Footage Vol.2" Downloadable Content (or DLC) is coming to the console earlier than its Xbox One and PC counterparts.

According to Attack of the Fanboy, the update addresses some minor bugs found in "Resident Evil 7", while also adding some trophies corresponding to the new DLC. The actual size of the update has not been specified.

As for the DLC itself, PlayStation Lifestyle reported that it contains three scenarios for "Resident Evil 7." Two tapes, "21" and "Daughters", are added through the DLC, as well as "Jack's 55th Birthday", which is more of a comical extra game. Unfortunately, the latter won't be supporting PlayStation VR. The "Resident Evil 7" DLC costs $15, which also packs the season pass for those who don't have it yet.

This will also not be the last DLC for "Resident Evil 7," as Capcom has announced that more DLCs are planned for the future. One of which will focus on a new playable character, which the company claims will be familiar for those who have finished the game.

As earlier mentioned, the update and the DLC will be available for PS4 users this week. As for Xbox One and PC players of "Resident Evil 7," the update, as well as both "The Banned Footage" DLCs will downloadable on February 21.

"Resident Evil 7" has already reached the 3 million sale mark worldwide since its release in January 2017. While not selling as good as the previous entries in the series, the game has been praised for going back to the roots of the "Resident Evil" franchise and its first-time use of first-person perspective. Capcom aims to sell at least 4 million copies before the end of March. "Resident Evil 7" is available for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC.
