Kendrick Lamar and ScHoolboy Q Songs 'Alright' & 'Studio' Are Now Certified Platinum Singles!

Kendrick Lamar and ScHoolboy Q had just received platinum certifications for their songs, "Alright" and "Studio" respectively. This is the first time that the two rappers have received a platinum certification for their respective singles and their fans are hoping that their streak will continue in the hip-hop industry.

The Recording Industry Association of America revealed that Kendrick Lamar and ScHoolboy Q's songs had won them a platinum certification. Both artists work with the Top Dawg Entertainment label. Lamar's hit single, "Alright", reached the No. 81 spot in the Billboard Hot 100 two years ago in October 2015. The song was also featured in the music artist's album "To Pimp a Butterfly", which won a Grammy.

ScHoolboy Q's single, "Studio", was released in October 2014. The song featured BJ the Chicago Kid and was No. 38 on the Billboard Hot 100. The song was also part of his third studio album "Oxymoron", which was his first album released under a major record label. Kendrick Lamar and ScHoolboy Q fans have expressed their support for the two rappers on social media.

Speaking of which, a different news broke out on social media recently. While Kendrick Lamar and ScHoolboy Q can certainly start reaping the benefits of their hard work and talent, Lamar believed that someone didn't get enough recognition this year. The "Poetic Justice" rapper was upset about Beyoncé.

According to XXLMag, the Top Dawg Entertainment president, Terrence "Punch" Henderson, talked to Lamar about the 2017 Grammy Awards. Henderson posted on Twitter that Lamar was upset that Beyoncé did not get an Album of the Year award at the Grammy event. Both Kendrick Lamar and ScHoolboy Q still enjoyed the event, though, where many of their fellow rappers received recognition.

Lamar also sent Chance the Rapper a text message to congratulate him on his big win. Chance the Rapper posted the screenshot of the message on Instagram, calling Lamar "Big Brother." Meanwhile, ScHoolboy Q brought his daughter with him on the red carpet event. The "Collard Greens" singer wore a pink hooded jacket with the words "Girl Power" across the chest to promote gender equality. The Kendrick Lamar and ScHoolboy Q singles have sold more than a million units this February.
