Executive producer Kerry Ehrin teased a possible Marion Crane shower scene in "Bates Motel" Season 5 in a recent interview. She also expressed interest in doing a "Bates Motel" spinoff series.

The appearance of Marion Crane (Rihanna) in "Bates Motel" Season 5 integrates Alfred Hitchcock's cult classic "Psycho" into the series. Viewers who saw Episode 1 may have already noticed the small details that alluded to the cult classic.

"Bread crumbs are starting to be laid out in the first episode that will eventually lead to Marion Crane ... People who know Psycho will enjoy it but (the season) stands on its own as a really good story," Ehrin told USA Today.

For instance, in "Bates Motel" Season 5 Episode 1, Norma peered from the window to see Madeleine Loomis drop by at the motel This is similar to a scene in "Pyscho," when the private investigator saw Norma's silhouette in the window.

Likewise, in "Bates Motel" Season 5 Episode 1, Norman saw Marion undress. He peeped into her room through a hole in his office. In "Psycho" Norman creepily watched a couple have sex in Room 1.

However, one scene from "Psycho" that fans are eager to see in "Bates Motel "Season 5 is Marion's shower scene. Marion died in the shower after Norman, dressed as Norma, stabbed her repeatedly. Ehrin declined to confirm if this is in the show, but her reaction teased the possibility. "Is there a shower scene in Psycho?" Ehrin jokingly replied, when asked if the show plans to replicate Marion's shower scene.

Meanwhile, fans are also interested to know if Ehrin plans to do a spinoff after "Bates Motel" Season 5." She expressed her interest and told Coming Soon that she and Carlton Cuse would be willing to look at ideas for a spinoff. However, she also said that it is not necessary for her show since it already has a clear beginning and a clear end.
