"Gotham" actress Jamie Chung is the second star to be confirmed in Matt Nix and Bryan Singer's still-unnamed "X-Men" drama on Fox.

Chung will star in FOX's "X-Men" TV drama as Blink, a popular comic book character that possesses teleportation powers, Variety reported. She can teleport and even large masses of peoples and objects. Her teleporting powers can also be destructive, especially when she only teleports parts of an object to cut them in half.

The character, who goes by the real name Clarice Fong, is described as "sarcastic, lively and a bit of a tomboy. Her naturally strong exuberance has taken a hit after a sudden and traumatic upheaval of her life. She later adjusts to new people in her life and being in new places that eventually become her "home," and only then does she learn to be herself again.

Blink previously appeared in "X-Men: Days of Future Past." She was portrayed by Chinese actress Fan Bingbing.

Chung will join Blair Redford in Fox's "X-Men" series. Redford was the first to be cast for the show, and will play a character named Sam, Entertainment Weekly reported. Redford's Sam is described as "the strong-headed Native American leader of the underground network."

Singer is directing the pilot episode of Fox's upcoming "X-Men" series with a script written by Matt Nix. The story revolves around two normal parents whose children possess mutant abilities. The family goes into hiding when the government begins to pursue them. They later run into an underground network of mutants and they work together to survive.

Unlike FX's "Legion," Fox's "X-Men" series is said to be connected to the "X-Men" movie universe. "I guess I'd say that if you look at the movies, which take place from whatever, they started in 2000 to now... they don't all line up perfectly. You know what I mean? So it's not like, I'm not slavishly fitting myself into a particular slot," Nix explained as to how the show will fit into the movie's timeline.

Although there has been no final confirmation yet, Nix said the series will likely run with 12 to 13 episodes.
