‘The Flash’ Season 3 Episode 14 Spoilers: What Happens In 'Attack on Central City'

Showrunner Aaron Helbing recently teased what happens in "The Flash" Season 3 Episode 14, "Attack On Central City," in a recent interview. He talked about Grodd nearly killing someone close to Barry and the ape controlling General McNally.

Wednesday's episode takes off following the events in Episode 13 after Barry ousted Solovar and put Grodd as ruler of Gorilla City. In "The Flash" Season 3 Episode 14, Grodd telepathically forces Gypsy to open the portal to Earth 1 so he can carry out his "Attack on Central City." He also manages to convince the other apes to attack as revenge for Solovar's death.

In an interview with TV Line, Helbing teased what happens when Grodd and his legion of apes enter Earth 1. In "The Flash" Season 3 Episode 14, Grodd wastes no time to execute his "Attack on Central City" using mind control. The showrunner hinted that Barry and team might have to defeat the apes alone since Grodd eventually overtakes General McNally.

The trailer for "The Flash" Season 3 Episode 14 shows Flash, Kid Flash, and Jesse Quick desperately brainstorming for a way to defeat the apes. Gypsy also comes to their aid, according to Comicbook. Of course, they would have to defeat Grodd, the mastermind, most of all.

In the same interview, Helbing also talked about Grodd nearly killing someone close to Barry. This event reportedly makes Barry question, whether he should just kill Grodd to ultimately change Iris' fate and prevent her death.

"Since Grodd has the ability to overtake anyone, he's going to overtake someone very close to Barry, and almost kill him. That's really going to affect Barry and make him question: 'Do I allow Grodd to live, or should I just kill him and put an end to it?'" Helbing said.
