The recent casting call for "Avengers: Infinity War" may have hinted at a big battle happening in Asgard. The call specified the need of several Viking extras, a Warrior Woman and the use of fake blood.
According to Uproxx, the casting call for "Avengers: Infinity War" identified the need for more Vikings of both male and female genders between the ages 18-59. It specified the need for men with long hair and beard. Applicants must be Caucasian and comfortable with the use of special effects make-up and fake blood.
The mention of blood suggests these Vikings might get into trouble or a major battle in Asgard. The appearance of Thanos in "Avengers: Infinity War" cements this theory. After all, the Mad Titan is after the Infinity Stones. It so happens, that one of the gems is in Thor's home planet. The Tesseract, which holds the Space Gem, is in Odin's vault in Asgard.
Likewise, the casting call for "Avengers: Infinity War" also wants a female between the ages 20-39 to play as the Warrior Woman. This extra must have an athletic build and stands between 5 feet and 9 inches to five feet and 11. The qualifications are rather specific, including that she must have a waist and hip measurement between 26- 28 and 37-39, respectively.
It is likely that this Warrior Woman appears in Asgard too during the major battle in "Avengers: Infinity War." She may be a member of the Valkyries, according to Screenrant. In Norse mythology, the Valkyrie is one of Odin's handmaidens who chooses who lives and dies on the battlefield.
The casting call for "Avengers: Infinity War" further cements this likelihood of the Warrior Woman appearing in the battle scene. The qualifications state the extra must be willing to cut her hair on just the sides and wear a wig. She must be of African-American descent. Coincidentally, Tessa Thompson, who plays a Valkyrie in "Thor: Ragnarok," also sports a similar hairstyle required for the extra.© 2019 Mstars News, All rights reserved.
