Nvidia has finally unwrapped the beast of a graphics card- GeForce GTX 1080 Ti. The company has priced the new graphics card very aggressively compared to the performance it offers. NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1080 Ti is the fastest card from NVIDIA beating the current king - GeForce Titan X.

NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1080 Ti comes with 11GB of DDR5X VRAM. The card runs at 11Gbps and consumes 220 watts of power at maximum load. NVIDIA claims that the new GeForce GTX 1080 Ti is the most powerful graphics card in the world right now.

Specifications wise the NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1080 Ti is a beast with 3584 CUDA cores and a 1582 MHz boost clock. The card has 11.3 TFLOPs of power. The transistor count is 12 billion, however, the memory bus is 352-bit wide, reported AnandTech.

The GeForce GTX 1080 Ti is based on NVIDIA Pascal architecture. The company has designed the new graphic card to meet the demands of 4K gaming, HDR and virtual reality (VR). "It's time for something new, something that's 35 percent faster than a GTX 1080, something that's faster than Titan X Let's call it the ultimate GeForce," said NVIDIA CEO Jen-Hsun Huang.

The fastest graphic card from NVIDIA is based on 16nm FinFET technology and uses less power and emits less heat. The company says that the G5X memory provides the most effective memory bandwidth and can be easily overclocked, reported PCMag.

The new card comes with a new high-airflow thermal solution with vapour chamber cooling. The GeForce GTX 1080 Ti also has power architecture with seven phase power design. NVIDIA also announced that GeForce GTX 1080 Ti will run faster compared to any graphics card in their lineup with the stock cooler. The new card runs faster than NVIDIA GeForce Titan X while generating less heat.

NVIDIA has priced GeForce GTX 1080 Ti at $699 which is significantly cheaper than the Titan X. AMD has also recently announced AMD Radeon RX Vega and the new cards will battle head to head in the future.
