Backstreet Boys Back on Billboard Hot 100 as Feature Role in Florida Georgia Line Track

The Backstreet Boys finally return to the Billboard charts after a good long while. Joining the two-man group Florida Georgia Line, the five-piece vocal harmony group gets the 92^nd spot on the chart with the song "God, Your Mama and Me."

According to Billboard, the single is the group's 17^th hit on the Hot 100 since they started in 1993. The Backstreet Boys took a decade to get back on the charts, their last being the song "Inconsolable" from the 2007 album "Unbreakable." The single "Quit Playing Games (with My Heart)" from their 1996 self-titled album was the highest-ranking song the Backstreet Boys had in the Hot 100 chart, reaching the #2 spot in 1997.

Meanwhile, Just Jared reported that the Backstreet Boys will be sharing the stage with Florida Georgia Line onstage once again. This time, the two groups are scheduled to perform at the Academy of Country Music Awards 2017 on April 2 at the T-Mobile Arena in Las Vegas.

The Backstreet Boys, consisting of Nick Carter, Brian Littrell, Kevin Richardson, AJ McLean and Howard (Howie D.) Dorough, have remained mostly together for more than 20 years since they first got together in April 1993. The group held together even after Richardson's departure in 2006, leaving the slot open for the former Backstreet boy whenever he wants to return. Richardson eventually came back in 2012, and Backstreet Boys are strong and steady as ever.

The group has performed with different talents like New Kids on the Block and the aforementioned Florida Georgia Line, among others. They have also worked alongside Joey Fatone and Chris Kirkpatrick of NSYNC, Tim Simmons of 98 Degrees and Erik-Michael Estrada of O-Town for the song "In the End" that was used in the Nick Carter-written TV movie "Dead 7". The movie was shown on SyFy on April 2016.

Currently, the Backstreet Boys are working on their ninth album, while starting their "Backstreet Boys: Larger Than Life" residency show in Las Vegas. The vocal harmony group, as they prefer themselves to be called, will be headlining a tour once their new album is completed.
