"Poldark" Season 3 will reportedly air earlier than usual to avoid clashing with acclaimed drama "Victoria" which is set to return for Season 2. No final date has been set but sources say that the American-British series might be back before September on BBC One.

The supposed rivalry between the two shows have supposedly split its viewers. Actress Eleanor Tomlinson said both shows are getting ready to deliver thicker story arcs and promises that both shows will have better-developed characters in their next installments, Deadline reported.

"Poldark" Season 3 will focus on the relationship between Demelza and Ross Poldark. Several teasers have been leaked online featuring Aidan Turner and Tomlinson enjoying on set, The Sun reported. The images showcase both characters having a seemingly pleasant talk in the marketplace despite the fallout in Season 2.

In Season 3, the "Poldark" couple finds themselves stuck in the middle of a French revolution which will likely cast a shadow in Cornwall. Scriptwriter Debbie Horsfield said that fans will be in for the roller coaster ride once the show returns.

"Ross is older but not necessarily wiser, and his recklessness sometimes costs him, and his loved ones, dear. We're in for a rollercoaster ride where the stakes have never been higher," she said.

The series will reportedly turn up the romance once it comes back. However, Elizabeth's pregnancy is expected to cause a stir because of the possibility that Ross is the father.

New actors are set to join the cast. These include Tom York and Harry Richardson who will play Demelza's brothers named Sam and Drake. In a behind the scenes clip, make-up artist Nathalie Eleni posted a video of York wearing a casual sit in a photo shoot. She went to describe the actor as charming.

Other newcomers include Ellise Chappel who will play the role of Elizabeth's cousin Morwenna and "Shameless" alum Sean Gilder who will play Tholly Tregirls, a character who is described to be a womanizer.
