This year, "Pokémon Go" creator John Hanke revealed that Niantic will be releasing several updates every quarter. Some of the updates that users can expect are revamps on the gym aspect of the game and the combat power (CP). Aside from that, users will start to see Shiny Pokémons, an update that wasn't listed in the patch notes.

The "Pokémon Go" craze has simmered down, but users are still excited to see the changes that Nintendo and Niantic promised to deliver this year. According to Pokémon Go Hub, John Hanke just confirmed that the next thing they will revamp is the Gym. The Niantic CEO said that his team didn't have enough time to do all renovations, so they were going to focus on the ones with major problems.

Hanke admitted that the Gym system of the game is relatively incomplete. He and his team will rework the system so that there will be more opportunities for teamwork. "Pokémon Go" users who participate in team activities will also have more rewards and better incentives.

Because the Gym will be reworked, the "Pokémon Go" CP or Combat Power will most likely be revamped as well. Previous reports revealed that Niantic could possibly improve the advantage/disadvantage formula to make the Gym Battles more interesting. Aside from this, the developers have already added new Pokémons in the latest patch.

Express reported that the newest "Pokémon Go" updates revolved around Evolution items becoming part of the user's 7-day streak and some minor text files. What the patch notes didn't reveal, though, is that there are already new, Shiny pocket monsters. Consequently, users will be able to see the new Shiny Pokédex buttons right beside the gender buttons.

Niantic hasn't revealed yet which Shiny Pokémons the users will be able to find in "Pokémon Go." The only one that has been found, so far, is the Golden Magikarp that can evolve into the Shiny Gyarados. Users will have to go out and explore in order to find the other Shiny Pokémon variants.
