2009's 'Shin Megami Tensei: Deep Strange Journey' Remake Coming To Nintendo 3DS

"Shin Megami Tensei: Strange Journey" was released in 2009 for Nintendo DS. IIt'sbeen 8 years since the original release and Atlus has now announced that it is working on the remake of the title for Nintendo 3DS.

The revamped version of "Shin Megami Tensei: Strange Journey" for Nintendo 3DS will be a 'remake' of the original game and it will feature new graphics, added voice acting and more than 340 demons. A new character names "Alex" will also be a part of this new remake, reported Kotaku.

"Shin Megami Tensei: Deep Strange Journey" for Nintendo 3DS will launch this fall in Japan. However, the release date has not been announced and its availability outside Japan is still unknown. Atlus, the video game company is expected to announce these details after the launch of "Persona 5" next month as reported by DigitalTrends.

The game was originally made for Nintendo DS in 2009 and is a first person dungeon crawler. The game has turn-based combat mechanics and allows players to forge alliances with demons and monsters. "Shin Megami Tensei: Deep Strange Journey" will feature all the content from the original game as well as new voice acting for all the major story sequences.

The "Shin Megami Tensei: Deep Strange Journey" for 3DS is set in a new place called "Schwarzwelt," which is a ruined place that appeared in the Antarctic suddenly. The protagonist and a team and Elite team are sent to the mysterious land to investigate further. They encounter a number of angels and demons at the place. The future of mankind is set depending on the decisions made by the protagonist.

As per the reports, the remake for 3DS will add various new features and a new ending route. This will make the "Shin Megami Tensei: Deep Strange Journey"a unique and fresh experience even for those who played it before on the Nintendo DS. The game will launch this fall in Japan and will follow in other international markets soon after. Meanwhile, enjoy the trailer for the upcoming game.
