Nintendo Switch is a hybrid gaming console released on March 3 this year. Though the console received positive reviews and ratings, it seems it is still plagued by some issues which are disturbing the fans.

The Nintendo Switch is running with issues that have directly disturbed the user experience. These issues question the build quality and hardware limitations that may impact the gamers. The issues include:

Console not turning on: Some users have found that their Nintendo Switch won't turn on. Apart from the usual causes like no battery power, the console might freeze and this would cause it not to turn on. To hard reset the console, hold the Power button for 12 seconds or more to turn the console off. Press the power button again to turn on the console.

Battery packs unable to charge Nintendo Switch: This is a severe issue resulting due to high power consumption by the console. The Nintendo Switch uses a USB Type-C port to charge the console, however, it needs a powerful battery pack/ power bank to charge itself.

A normal power bank with a 5.0V output will not be able to charge the Nintendo Switch, reported VentureBeat. It appears that the Nintendo Switch requires 15.0V/2.6A to charge itself which is the rating that is not supported by most power banks in the market. Hence, a battery pack with more than 5.0V output is required to charge the Nintendo Switch.

Game cartridge issues: It is possible that the Nintendo Switch won't recognise a game cartridge inserted into the console. Users can try removing and reinserting the game cartridge into the console. Also, try inserting a different cartridge

Wireless headphones compatibility: As reported by TrustedReviews, the Nintendo Switch doesn't support wireless headphones. This might come as a surprise because the device has Bluetooth, however, it is only reserved for Joy-Con and Pro Controller. So to use headphones, they must be plugged into the console directly. Alternatively, users can opt for Bluetooth adapters that plug into the headphone jack so that they can use their wireless headphone with the Nintendo Switch.

Storage Expansion Issue: Nintendo Switch offers only 32GB internal memory and more than 6GB is taken up by the OS. However, the console supports microSD cards so the storage can be expanded relatively cheaper.

Joy-Con Grip not charging the controllers: The Grip that comes with Nintendo Switch doesn't charge the controllers and to charge Joy-Con, they need to be attached to the Nintendo Switch. Alternatively, the users can buy Joy-Con Charging Grip that charges the controllers while allowing users to play at the same time.
