According to Polygon, Insomniac Games announced the "Spider-Man" PS4-exclusive game last year at the E3 convention. The game can be played on the regular PS4 model, but those who want even better visuals can use PS4 Pro. Penagos also said that a lot of other Marvel games will be made available on PS4 later in 2017.

He mentioned specifically that "Marvel vs. Capcom Infinite" will also be released for Xbox One, PS4, and Windows PC. Although this news was met with a lot of positive reaction from fans, Sony studio clarified that there has been no official announcement on the "Spider-Man" PS4-exclusive game release date.

According to Playstation Lifestyle, a representative from Sony expressed, "We don't comment on rumor or speculation." Although Penagos hinted that the launch window will be later this year, Insomniac Games clarified that the studio hasn't narrowed down the "Spider-Man" PS4-exclusive game release window yet and that fans should take Penagos' hints with a grain of salt and not get their hopes up.

Twitter users asked Insomniac Games about the state of the "Spider-Man" PS4-exclusive game. A representative said that the developing team is still working on the game every day. The studio hasn't released many details about the game's features yet. James Stevenson, Insomniac Games' marketing manager, told fans that the video featuring Penagos is already months old.

In other words, it's not a recent update on the game's release date. The only thing the studio has released is the "Spider-Man" PS4-exclusive game trailer.
