'Pitch Perfect 3' Finishes Production; Skylar Astin & Treblemakers Won't Be In The Last Film

The "Pitch Perfect 3" filming has just wrapped up and the cast members have uploaded various photos on their Instagram accounts. They hinted that the third movie will be the last in the franchise for the Barden Bellas. Skylar Astin and the rest of his pals from the Treblemakers will not appear in the final movie.

The first "Pitch Perfect" film was released in 2012 and followed by a sequel in 2015, which introduced new Bellas. After the success of both films, which showcased the talents of a capella groups in college, "Pitch Perfect 3" was given the go signal. In fact, the film's production is already complete, according to the Seventeen magazine.

It's been four months since the first picture of the film was posted on Twitter. Now, the production is finished and the "Pitch Perfect 3" cast is already saying goodbye. Ester Dean, who plays Cynthia-Rose on the film, uploaded a video on her Instagram account. She sang the lyrics, "Maybe we'll meet again in another life / Maybe we're better in another paradise / Maybe we will meet again / Maybe we will fall again / In another life."

Basically this indicates that the "Pitch Perfect" series is coming to an end. Hailee Steinfeld, meanwhile, uploaded a photo of her and her new crew on Instagram. Fans will remember that, in the second movie, Steinfeld's character was the only new Barden Bella. The photo, though, indicates that she will have new friends in "Pitch Perfect 3".

Rebel Wilson, who plays Fat Amy in the movies, however, captioned an Instagram photo with, "This is not the end. Bellas for life." Fans can only hope for a few more movies about a capella, but one thing's for sure: Universal Pictures hinted that the "Pitch Perfect 3" plot will include some Christmas vibes, according to E! News.

One bad news is that fans will not be seeing Skylar Astin and the rest of the Treblemakers in the third film. He said that "Pitch Perfect 3" will be taking a different direction, despite the establishment of the relationships between Fat Amy and Bumper (Adam DeVine) and Jesse (Skylar Astin) and Beca (Anna Kendrick) in the previous films.

Astin was still very supportive of his wife, Anna Camp (Aubrey in the movies), and the rest of the "Pitch Perfect 3" cast. Aside from the Barden Bellas, Ruby Rose, Trinidad James and John Lithgow will also be making cameos. The film's release date is on Dec. 22, 2017.
