‘Sense8’ Season 2 Premiere Date, Synopsis, Cast: Details So Far [Stream]

Fans of the Netflix show have had to wait for a long time to see their favorite series return to the streaming service. It is almost after two years that "Sense8" Season 2 is premiering and not much is known apart from the main synopsis and cast members who are going to be featured in the new season.

The Netflix series made a name for itself because of the psychological elements involved in it, which has not been explored that much on TV shows. The first season revolved around a small number of individuals who developed a mental link between themselves. After their minds are psychologically bonded, they have to work in unison in order to fight the evil forces tracking them. "Sense8" Season 2 will see the Sensates continuing their battle against the Whispers, Den Of Geek reported.

According to Mic, the synopsis of "Sense8" Season 2 reads: "On the run from Whispers [Terrence Mann], and forced to question their very identity, it's a matter of survival as the Sensates must find a way to live with, understand and protect one another against all odds."  In the meantime, all the main characters like Capheus (Toby Onwumere), Kala (Tina Desai), Lito (Miguel Angel Silvestre), Sun (Donna Bae), Will (Brian J. Smith), Nomi (Jamie Clayton), Wolfgang (Max Riemelt), and Riley (Tuppence Middleton) will return for the second season.

Apart from facing Whispers, the Sensates will also have to get used to experiencing each other's victories, failures and consequent heartbreaks in "Sense8" Season 2. It is still to be seen if they can work as a team and find a way to tackle every challenge thrown at them.

"Sense8" Season 2 gave a brief sneak peak to its fans when a 2-hour long Christmas special aired on Dec 23, 2016. However, viewers will have to wait till May 5, 2017, for the rest of the season to stream on Netflix, which consists of 10 episodes. Catch the Live stream here.
