Busy Philipps took to social media to recall a scary and threatening encounter during an Uber ride on Sunday. The actress said she was almost murdered by another passenger who was not supposed to be on the same car ride with her and her husband.

Philipps took to her Instagram to share her story about the encounter. The "White Chicks" star said that she and her husband Marc Silverstein were in Los Angeles when they called Uber. An SUV picked them up but parked farther away. Regardless, they got in and Philipps said she immediately felt uneasy, so she asked Marc if they were about to get murdered.

Suddenly, a random guy who sat at the back replied to Philipps' questions. They did not expect someone to be on the same ride with them since they had requested for a single and not a shared ride. This guy reportedly assured them that they are not going to get murdered. "It was very creepy the way he chose to say it, even though he wasn't going to murder us, he made it seem like he might," Philipps said.

Philipps said she freaked out and began screaming at the Uber driver and at the strange passenger. The two men eventually escaped the car while the actress continued yelling. An Uber source told E! News that the actress had reported the incident to the company, but did not file an incident report. Philipps said she could not find a legal reason to press charges.

Likewise, another Uber source confirmed Philipps' story to Too Fab and said the company is looking into the incident. The source confirmed the presence of the other passenger, which violates the terms of service since the couple booked a single ride and not an UberPool.

The experience left Philipps losing trust on the company. She vowed that she would never again book an Uber ride. "That was legitimately the scariest, weirdest, worst thing that's ever happened in a car situation for me," she said.
