New details have surfaced regarding Pickle Rick in "Rick and Morty" Season 3 Episode 2. Series writer Ryan Ridley shared a bit of plot spoilers for when Rick transforms into the vegetable in "Rickmancing the Stone."

The show's Twitter page has since announced that a "Pickle Will Rise" when "Rick and Morty" Season 3 Episode 2 airs in the summer. At that time, no details were revealed about this tease, except that it literally point to Rick turning himself in to a pickle.

However, Ridley, one of the show's writers, shed some light on what happens with Pickle Rick in "Rick and Morty" Season 3 Episode 2. He talked about the difficulties Rick faces in a podcast interview with Y Combinator. "He sort of gets trapped, and he ends up involved in a situation, one thing, one twist leads to another, and he's totally screwed," he said.

According to Inverse, Pickle Rick finds himself committing genocide against a rat colony in "Rick and Morty" Season 3 Episode 2. The sneak peek at the new season released at the San Diego Comic-Con teased this scenario (see video below).

Ridley added that Pickle Rick finds himself struggling to get out of his situation despite being in a mundane scenario. He is on earth and "just a few hundred feet from the house." However, since he is a pickle then he cannot do basic things such as retrieving his portal gun or using one of his inventions. "He's a pickle, so he has to figure out how to get himself out of that with really basic ingenuity," Ridley added.

Pickle Rick then starts to talk about the movie "127 Hours" and "Gravity." He identifies himself with the characters in these movies, who are alone and have to figure out a way to get out of their situation. Thankfully, Morty comes to the rescue (possibly) as seen in the preview below for "Rick and Morty" Season 3 Episode 2.
