Award Winning Directors Of The Final Season 'Game Of Thrones' Season 8 Revealed

Avid viewers of the award-winning fantasy drama series "Game of Thrones" are waiting for its next and final season after Season 7 ended on Aug 27. HBO has attracted overwhelming support and viewership from David Benioff and D.B. Weiss creations that it has collected multiple awards in the Primetime Emmy Awards, Hugo Awards, and Golden Globe Awards. The story itself which is based on George R. R. Martin's series of fantasy novels is extraordinary with complex characters, suburb acting and production values.

Because it is the final season, "Game of Thrones" Season 8 will be getting the best of all its showrunners, now that it is scheduled to start shooting on October until next year and a target season premiere not later than 2019. In a report from EW, the final list of directors was revealed and it is no doubt a group of exciting names. At the top of the list is Emmy Award winner, Miguel Sapochnik, who won for his work on Season 6 with the episodes "The Battle of the Bastards" and "The Winds of Winter."

Miguel Sapochnik temporarily left "Game of Thrones" Season 7 to direct Netflix's upcoming sci-fi drama Altered Carbon. Another in the list will be David Nutter aka "the pilot whisperer" who is on top of his game when it comes to launching new shows. Nutter also received his Emmy Award for directing the "The Rains of Castamere," season three's infamous Red Wedding episode, Hollywood Reporter reports.

And of course, the main creators of "Game of Thrones" David Benioff and D. B. Weiss who will have the final say for the final episode will have to choose between who will be written on the actual on-screen credit which was rules to be only one name of the director. Right now, the only thing sure of is that there will be six episodes for Season 8 with a span of at least 80 minutes per episode. And it is believed to be costing a lot more compared to its previous seasons, taking note of the expected battles scenes and talents that will appear to give a fantastic ending for "Game of Thrones."
