Hugh Hefner has lived his life to the fullest, and until his death, he chooses to be next to someone he considers to have a "double connection" with. On Sept 30 Sunday, Hugh Hefner was peacefully laid to rest in an intimate ceremony attended by his selected staff and family. The businessman and magazine publisher, popular for his creation of Playboy magazine died on Wednesday, Sept 27 at the age of 91 at his Playboy mansion in L.A.

In a report from Us Weekly, a private ceremony was held at the noon of Sept 30 at the Westwood Village Memorial Park, Hefner's widow Crystal and four children Christie, 64, David, 62, Marston, 27, and Cooper, 26 with some Playboy Enterprise staff has paid their last farewell to the iconic man. His children especially Cooper who is the chief creative officer of Playboy Enterprise considers Hugh Hefner as not only an icon in creating Playboy magazine but was a valuable instrument in voicing out social and cultural movements. Hefner was able to redefine the terms of free speech, civil rights and sexual freedom on his lifestyle and the way Playboy magazine has been through the years.

Hugh Hefner bought the left crypt beside Marilyn Monroe 25 years ago at $75,000 at the Corridor of Memories Mausoleum, Mirror reports. Hefner who featured Marilyn Monroe's nude picture on the very first issue of Playboy magazine in 1953, recalls Monroe as "too sweet to pass up" when he bought the crypt beside the iconic actress and intends to spend an "eternity" with her. Both Hugh Hefner and Marilyn Monroe share the same year of birth and the former considers it as something symbolic.

Hugh Hefner and some associates started out Playboy with only a part of a $1,000 loan that Hefner borrowed from his mother. The now popular men's lifestyle and entertainment magazine were first put together at Hefner's kitchen in 1953 as he used an old set of the 1950's sex symbol's nude photographs to launch his very first issue of Playboy. Hugh Hefner's mansion was believed to be bought by his businessman neighbor in 2016 at $100 million, thinking that the Playboy creator himself will demise there.
