Earlier this month, director Bryan Singer announced via his Twitter account that the sequel to 2014's X-Men: Days of Future Past would be released in 2016. Though this was definitely exciting news for fans of the series, the announcement of X-Men: Apocalypse was reportedly not well received by the cast members who have to work on the film. Apparently they did not know about this new project and learned just how everybody else did. Now there are reports that two stars, Jennifer Lawrence and Nicholas Hoult (who happen to be dating), are contemplating quitting the franchise because of the short notice and scheduling difficulties!

Oh, but don't worry about their relationship. Jennifer and Nicholas have no plans of breaking up!

"[Jennifer and Nicholas] feel they are prisoners of the X-Men movies and the director, Bryan Singer," a source recently explained. "[They] were shocked to see a new X-Men film was announced for 2016. Now they have to reshuffle their plans in order to accommodate a June shoot. Jennifer especially is losing millions of dollars by doing these movies when she could have her pick of juicy parts."

Though this might sound a bit dramatic, this source makes a good point about Lawrence being able to choose pretty much any project she wants these days. Hoult is also a sought-after actor, but Lawrence is definitely at the top of many filmmakers' lists.

Earlier this month, their co-star James McAvoy admitted that he had no idea about Apocalypse and found out through the Twitter post as well. Hopefully he'll stick around for the film considering he has a more important role in the franchise!
