When Gareth Bale left Tottenham Hotspurs for Real Madrid, many understood why, but some suggested he'd become a bit-part player there. It's been anything but a bit-part role for the Wales international, who has become one of their key players, second to Cristiano Ronaldo. One of the reasons he left was to pursue trophies, and he's already been proven right in leaving. His Real Madrid side beat rivals Barcelona 2-1 to lift the Copa Del Rey trophy, but is that enough for Bale? Apparently not, he's targeting the treble.

Bale insisted winning the trophy was a "dream come true", and said "It was really special,". Bale, 24, said "We've won the first of the three available titles and we have to keep fighting for everything." It seems the history of Real players wanting to dominate is still alive and well, as Bale has adopted their winning mentality.

Real have to face Bayern Munich in the Champions League semi-finals, and they have a shot at winning La Liga, so it seems Bale isn't ready to rest on one trophy. He signed for Madrid for a world record of near $130 million dollars, and he has scored 20 goals across all competitions, proving a huge success.

If Madrid win the treble then the $130 million dollar fee will appear lot smaller, and prove Real were right in spending such a big fee on such an unproven (on the biggest stage) talent. Can Bale lead Madrid to two more trophies, or will he have to settle with just the Copa Del Rey trophy?
