With the NFL Draft a matter of days away and the NBA draft a matter of weeks away, everybody is focusing on the likes of Johnny Manziel, Teddy Bridgewater, Sammy Watkins, Jabari Parker and Andrew Wiggins, but what about the boxers that appear from nowhere to take the world by storm? There's no draft for the boxers, and it can seem like they come from nowhere. Meet Robbie Davies Junior. The young, powerful light welterweight is making a huge name for himself in Britain, and not only is he tipped to become a British champion, many believe he will be fighting at world level.

Here's an exclusive interview with the star:

You've got a fight coming up soon, right?

Three weeks tomorrow. The opponent is still to be announced. Every fight I've had has been changed.

What is it like working with Dave Coldwell?

I've got a pretty basic, but comfortable relationship with him. Basically, he sorts the management and sorts my fights with Eddie Hearn. Dave does all the talking and negotiating with me. As a person, you can text and have a laugh and chat about things outside the boxing world. He was the right guy for me at the time of turning pro.

Are you a Liverpool fan? Are you nervous about the title race?

Yeah. I'm nervous. I'm confident we're going to beat Crystal Palace this weekend. I'd hate for us to lose the league on goal difference to Manchester City. I'd rather get beat by someone; I'd hate to lose it that close. I think half of the Everton team wants to lose against City, they'd rather lose their Champions League place to make sure we don't win the league.

How happy were you to see Curtis Woodhouse become a British champion?

It's a great achievement for him. The story he produced, coming from a professional footballer to winning the belt. I'd of never left. I'd of stayed retired with that legacy.

How far do you think you can go in boxing? What's your target?

I keep my feet on the ground. I'm going to aim to become No. 1 in Britain. Once I get the British title I'll be looking for something else.

Will you be watching Adrien Broner, Floyd Mayweather and Amir Khan this weekend?

Yeah. I'll be setting my alarm. I'll be having a treble bet. Adrien Broner to win on stoppage. Amir Khan to win on points and Floyd Mayweather to win on stoppage.

What do you make of the George Groves and Carl Froch drama?

It's the biggest thing in British boxing right now. It's an evenly matched fight, because half of the people are saying Groves, and half Froch. I thought Groves would win the first fight. I always pick youth over experience. I thought it was prematurely stopped last time. I've got to stick with Groves. I honestly think Froch has had too many big, hard fights.

What is your training like?

I do sustained sprints 3x a week. Sprinting with rests. Sparring. Power circuits. At the weekend I'll do the pads. 800m sprints. On a Sunday I don't do anything, I need my rest.

What would you like to say to those American and British fans that don't know of you yet?

I'm a stylist. I'm exciting. I'm confident. If you don't know me now, you will know me soon. I'm a switch-fighter, I'm hard to deal with. I'm a big light welterweight.

What venue would you like to fight in?

Las Vegas MGM one million percent. If Floyd Mayweather rang me up now and said there was a spot, I'd fight for free and fly instantly.

Do you like any American sports?

In July I'm going to LA. I'm going to a Los Angeles Dodgers game for the experience. I wanted to see the Los Angeles Lakers, but obviously the season has finished.
