Star Cleveland Browns' Wide Receiver Josh Gordon's NFL Career Threatened After DWI Arrest

When the Cleveland Browns used a supplemental draft pick to select former Baylor wide receiver Josh Gordon, they knew they were drafting trouble into the organization, but they believed they could rid him of his bad ways and find the elite receiver within him. A few months after the Browns saw their star WR have a record-breaking, NFL-leading season, things have all gone downhill. Gordon had already failed yet another drugs test (3rd time) and will face a lengthy ban, and then followed that up by allowing a friend to carry drugs in his car.  Now, he's added to the list by getting arrested for DWI, driving at 50 mph in a 35 mph zone in Raleigh, N.C.. Could the Browns, or even the NFL, end his career a lot sooner than many expected?

Gordon was already facing an impending ban, which many believe will be at least a year, but it seems he just can't learn. Many players are often influenced by money, and once they get their biggest contract, their heads turn.  However, Gordon has seemingly reached the breaking point before even getting the really big NFL money. If he ever gets his hand on mega millions, could he turn in to an even bigger problem?

The Browns may consider cutting him, sending him for help or trading him, however, it's understandable if they decide to give him yet another chance. He's young, wants to be the best and has the talent to do just that, but seemingly he has serious problems that the NFL and the Browns just cannot help him with.
