The 2014/15 NFL season starts on Thursday, and it's evident that nobody can wait, including the players. It seems like stars like Robert Griffin III and Johnny Manziel have done little but talk, but now is their time to do what they do best — shine with a football in their hands. This pair in the limelight reminds fans of father-son duo Mike Shanahan and Kyle Shanahan, with RG3 recently opening up about his former coach, Mike. Perhaps he and Johnny should focus on the Redskins and Browns, who face the Texans and Steelers this weekend.

RGIII has opened up about his relationship with former coach Mike. He explained to Bleacher Report how he felt about him leaving: "For me it was just heartbreaking. You know with everything that happened — came into the league with — I was a huge Bronco fan, everybody knew that, and I had the coach of my dreams pick me in the draft."

Griffin had a sensational rookie season, but injuries and a lack of help didn't help him carry on that form in his second season. But now with that all behind him, he's hoping to shine in his third season, showing a mature version of his former self. Manziel, of the Browns, will be hoping he can also learn from Mike's son, Kyle. Ironically, Manziel has been compared to Griffin, and now he will get a chance to work with a Shanahan.

What does the future hold for these talented quarterbacks and the Shanahan duo?
