The hype around the Cleveland Browns has been insane, mainly as to whether they should stick with Brian Hoyer or give rookie QB Johnny Manziel a shot. It seems they have running back decisions to make with Terrence West, Ben Tate and Isaiah Crowell all giving the Browns food for thought. After a horrific first half the Browns battled back, but only to suffer a heartbreaking last second field goal defeat, meaning they walked away with nothing but the 30-27 defeat.

Johnny watched Hoyer from the sidelines, and Hoyer had moments of joy. He was 19-of-31, for 230 yards and one touchdown, but it was his running support that impressed the most. Tate was impressive, but after leaving the game to injury, West and Crowell stepped up. West had 100 hard-hitting yards, whilst Crowell posted 32, but two touchdowns. With this running support it might not matter who is throwing the ball after all.

The Browns will look to bounce back against the New Orleans Saints, but one can wonder how many defeats Hoyer will be allowed until Manziel is given his shot. Manziel is seen as a QB that brings a spark, a spark that might of, arguably, won this game for the Browns. However, Manziel has a lot to learn, and for now they will likely persist with Hoyer.

Which QB should the Browns start, and can they bounce back and make the 2014 NFL playoffs? They have some tough games, but if they can build on their second-half performance, then who could write them off?
