A.J. McCarron was used to being the man at Alabama during his NCAA days, but that's been anything but the case so far since he joined the Cincinnati Bengals. The QB was drafted this year, and he hoped to become an instant starter, but so far he's nowhere near good enough to replace Andy Dalton. Plus he's had nothing but injuries to deal with during his short NFL career, but luckily his wife Katherine Webb has been right by side. It's not been easy for Alabama either, as McCarron's replacement Blake Sims has similar injury trouble that A.J. had during his NCAA career.

Sims was supposed to replace McCarron, but coach Nick Saban has explained what's going on, saying "He's fine. He'll probably be a couple days where we take it easy. (McCarron) took a few days where he practiced but didn't throw much then started putting him on a pitch count and started bringing him back. But having a bye week is probably a good thing from that perspective." How McCarron wishes he was back at Alabama, where he was the (without a doubt) man.

Now, A.J. is struggling with shoulder injuries of his own, and on top of that he's trying his best to beat out Dalton, who's arguably one of the best QB in the NFL. Even if he was to start playing bad, his team have been sensational, and are one of the strongest around, and it's unlikely that McCarron could break that tight-knit structure. Could he and his wife be asking to be traded? There are many organizations that could almost guarantee him a starting berth, but sadly, Cincinnati is not one.

Are Alabama's quarterbacks cursed, and can Dalton fire the Bengals to NFL glory?
