Nick Cannon considers the troubled actress Amanda Bynes as his "little sister." The two stars were former actors together on the 90's network Nickelodeon. Bynes has made headlines recently as she has gotten DUI's, arrests, and gone on some pretty rampant Twitter runs. And from the looks of it, Cannon does not take her actions lightly. In fact, he has even called out to her in the form of a letter.

The America's Got Talent host said on HuffPost Live that she reached out to him via text recently and considers her family.

"If this was a person who was in a mental hospital, would you do the same thing?" asked the entertainer. "But just because she's someone that is a public figure, we feel like it's fun... But no, this is someone who needs help, and rightly so, she was getting help. And I'm pretty sure she'll continue to get help again. It's things you have to deal with your entire life," Cannon said.

The actress recently dealt with a shoplifting incident yesterday at the New York Madison Avenue luxury store Barneys where security stopped her for what they claim was her shoplifting a hat. In her defense, she stated that she was trying to hide from fans that were following her.

In a letter the former husband of Mariah Carey wrote to Bynes last August stated to Bynes, "you're not alone."

"I'm here for you," he says, adding, "I understand. I care and I appreciate you, because that's what family does and that's what family is for... I'm here! Call me! Because I truly believe, the hand you're helping up today may be the one you're reaching for tomorrow."

The letter stems from a recent admit to a psychiatric care unit.

Cannon ended interview with HuffPost Live by stating, "My heart goes out to her. I pray for her daily."

In recent Nick Cannon news, he's not out of the headlines either as he's been dealing with divorce rumors from Mariah Carey.
