Glee actor Matthew Morrison tied the knot Oct. 18 in Hawaii, and now he's opening up about the romantic ceremony. While celebrating his fifth annual Halloween bash with wife Renee Puente, the couple shared details about their big day.

When the couple arrived in Maui, it was blue skies and island vibes according to the bride's Instagram photos.

"Thank you @CitchyCoconuts for your deliciously awesome Maui welcome!! #foodart #clever #spreadingaloha" Renee wrote with a collage of Hawaiian getaway photos with her husband.

Matthew explained that when the couple said "I do," there was a lot of unexpected weather issues even though it was perfect when they landed.

"I think the biggest surprise was there was a hurricane in Hawaii when we were there, so that led to a lot of, I guess, stress that we didn't really anticipate!" Matthew told People.

Despite the fact that it rained leading up to the ceremony, the actual wedding was rain-free. Once the weather issues subsided, the couple got down to what really mattered: the wedding vows.

"We both wrote our own vows. That was the moment I teared up, was when she was saying her vows to me. Both our vows were very us and filled with heartfelt sentiments but also some comedy," the 35-year-old said.

The reception included a few surprises for the guests and the bride. Matthew revealed he surprised his bride with a song — did you expect anything less? — that paid tribute to her late mother.

"I sang a song as a surprise to her. It was 'Top of the World' by The Carpenters, which was her mom's favorite song. Her mom passed last year and we actually had the wedding on her mother's birthday," he told the publication.

"I felt her presence completely the entire time," Renee exclusively told E! News about the touching tribute to her mother at her wedding.

The model also revealed she saw a soft side of Matthew when she walked down the aisle.

"I saw a little bit of tears when I was walking down that aisle," she teased.
