Robin Wright, Ben Foster Call Off 10-Month Engagement [PHOTO]

Robin Wright, 48, and fiance Ben Foster, 34, have ended their 10-month engagement, Us Weekly has reported.

The couple opted to end their relationship due to scheduling issues, a source close to the House of Cards star said:

"She got swept up in the engagement last Christmas, but then their schedules got crazy and she realized it wasn't the right decision," adding, "the [age] gap just ended up being too much. Ben was kind of immature. She couldn't deal with him anymore."

Ouch.

Foster's 14 years Wright's junior and he came two years after the Forrest Gump star's divorce from Sean Penn, with whom she shared 13 years of marriage and two adult children: Dylan, 22, and Hopper, 20.

As far as scheduling goes for Wright and Foster, this summer she was busy filming the hit Netfilx series House of Cards with Kevin Spacy in Baltimore while Foster was in London filming A Streetcar Named Desire.

In February 2013, it was reported that Wright and the Orphans actor were dating. The couple got engaged a year later in January 2014.

As far as her marriage to Penn, Wright admitted it didn't end too well. Penn reportedly told Esquire magazine in 2012 that the marriage to the actress was a fraud.

"There is no shame in saying that we all want to be loved by someone," Penn revealed. "As I look back over my life in romance, I don't feel I've ever had that ... I have been the only one that was unaware of the fraud in a few of these circumstances blindly."
