LeBron James celebrates his 30th birthday today amid rumors of discord within the Cleveland Cavaliers organization, and a shocking revelation that LeBron could consider leaving his hometown NBA franchise. Ahead of his 18-12 team's game against the Atlanta Hawks in Georgia tonight, in a new report two-time NBA Champion LeBron has apparently made it known that if the organization doesn't improve dramatically or he doesn't like their direction, he "won't hesitate" to leave the franchise a second time, if that's "appropriate business decision." Happy birthday, LeBron?

It comes as first year NBA head coach David Blatt finds himself under intense scrutiny for the team's less-than world beating start to an NBA season that many predicted would see the Cavs dominate as some sort of Voltron-esque juggernaut (presumably Kevin Love is the pouty 'Keith' in that scenario; Dion Waiters is definitely the girl), but, as Mstars News reported has instead seen them struggle, mostly defensively, with LeBron's lukewarm in his support of the coach.

But according to cleveland.com's Chris B Haynes, the slow start to the season means that:

"There is immense pressure to keep The King happy."

"James, who turns 30 today, has no intention of compromising his prime years playing for a sputtering organization. He can opt out of his contract at the end of the season and become a free agent."

"Given the massive scrutiny he would endure if he departed Cleveland a second time, if his hand is forced, I'm told he won't hesitate to make the appropriate business decision if it means bolting."

He adds though, that the slow start is on both the Cleveland players and coach Blatt, saying that "The dreadful body language, the disengagement, the attitudes, the lollygagging on defense must cease. Leaders need to lead and players need to play." Haynes adds that Blatt "needs to look in the mirror" too, and criticizes his sub patterns, time management and commitment to getting the Cavs playing defense at a high level.

CBS Sports's Matt Moore points out that it would be "hard to believe LeBron would actually leave the Cavs a second time," but adding the caveat that "But we've seen LeBron endure this type of bad public opinion before and know he's mentally prepared to do it if he needed to." He attributes the team's woes to their defense, which has been "bad — really, really bad."

ESPN's Brian Windhorst reported in a nice break down of Lebron's birthdays in the spotlight that LeBron "has admitted he has lost a little, athletically", and so Cleveland's time to win a championship with James is right now.

Still, as he turns 30 today (sharing a birthday with Tiger Woods and Sandy Koufax), ESPN Stats point out that LeBron has the most points (23,901) of anyone in NBA history at age 30, topping even Michael Jordan and all-time leader Kareem Abdul-Jabbar. Add in his four NBA MVPs and two NBA championships with the Miami Heat, and you've got a helluva lot more achievements for the King than, say, your buddy Jeremy, whose biggest achievement by 30 was getting up to the 18th level of the zombie level on Call of Duty: Black Ops.
