Ryan Reynolds' highly anticipated Deadpool movie has come quite the way since the leaked test footage of the actor in motion capture action basically made 20th Century Fox green-light the project. With a Feb. 16, 2016 release date, we can expect filming to take place early in 2015. Plus, this week we've learned that two new cast members have most likely boarded the movie. HBO stars T.J. Miller of Silicon Valley and former Game of Thrones stud Ed Skrein reportedly signed on for the comedic comic book adaptation.

We can expect some sort of comedic role out of Miller, who is a performing stand-up comic as well as a very busy voice actor and comedic actor. Considering the source material though, will too much comedy be overkill? Deadpool is a brash, joke-telling antihero who often breaks the fourth wall in his comics. We learned last year that we can expect that in the film, so how exactly would a comedic relief actor like Miller fit in?

As far as Skrein goes, should we just assume he'd be the antagonist of the film? He has the look of a bad-guy, but we shouldn't really jump to conclusions just yet. Perhaps he'll be playing another super hero from Marvel? Either way, the rising star will surely do well in a comic book movie.

According to The Wrap, "representatives for 20th Century Fox and Miller had no comment, while a representative for Skrein did not immediately respond to a request for comment."

"The movie has been in a state of limbo for a while. There was such an overpowering reaction to the footage, you sort of feel like, 'Oh, so we weren't crazy for our reasons for loving this character, for loving this role.' It's interesting to see the power of the Internet," Reynolds told the Niagara Falls Review last year. "It's awe-inspiring, actually. And it's neat that Twitter and Facebook and Instagram can move mountains when used in the right way."
