The nominees are in for the 26th annual GLAAD Media Awards.
MStars News is proud to announce the 2015 nominees up for wins. The nominations were revealed Wednesday, Jan. 20, as we learned this year's ceremonies will be held in Los Angeles March 21 at The Beverly Hilton and in New York May 9 at the Waldorf Astoria New York.
Special honorees for both cities will be revealed in coming weeks.
The GLAAD Media Awards recognize and honor celebrities and media each year for their outstanding representations of the lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender community.
In a statement, GLAAD president and CEO Sarah Kate Ellis revealed to MStars News: "For nearly 30 years, the GLAAD Media Awards have raised the bar for inclusion in news and entertainment, transforming LGBT representation in media and moving the dial for acceptance across the globe."
The GLAAD president and CEO adds, "It's been a remarkable year for equality, and nowhere is that more evident than in the visibility LGBT people have gained across media. This year's nominees, including expanded categories in Outstanding Comedy and Drama Series, reflect the widening diversity of LGBT images and storylines that are closing the gap to full acceptance."
