While most MLS teams are suffering from players leaving this week for international duties, Union's Rais Mbolhi has apparently scaled back in order to stick in Philly this season.

"He wants to be here," said coach Jim Curin this week. "He's a guy that's fully committed and really wants to have this be his home full-time and not have to do all the travel for friendlies. If it's an Africa Cup of Nations qualifier, then, yes, those are different discussions. But for friendlies that are going on, he's going to be here full time, which is a huge commitment on his end."

Meanwhile, Chicago's coach, Frank Yallop discussed his team's recent failures and hopes for a comeback.

"We're still a team that's gelling, but we're moving in the right direction," he said this week. "We're 0-3, which is never great, but you can't just worry about three games, you've got to build something and keep going and see where it ends up at the end. It's a long season. We've still got 31 games left, so we've got to make sure we start picking up some points."
