Giuliana Rancic has been the queen of the tabloids lately, as the E! News star has been at the center of quiet a few controversies this past year. Not only did her comment about Zendaya Coleman on Fashion Police lead to the show being put on hiatus until September, but she reportedly also has an ongoing feud with former Extra host Maria Menounos. Now it seems that what is making headlines is Rancic's super slender frame. The starlet has taken abuse from being "too thin" over the last couple months, but today she's fighting back in an new interview with People magazine, where she opened up about her health and body. She said her cancer medication speeds up her metabolism.

"Some people were saying, 'The cancer is probably back,' and they were accusing me of every eating disorder," the starlet, who battled breast cancer in 2011, explained. "I thought to myself, 'God, if someone really thought I had an eating disorder, what a horrible way to approach it.'"

While luckily her cancer hasn't returned, Giuliana did say that after taking the cancer medication she noticed she wasn't able to gain weight.

"I started noticing that I was eating a lot, but not gaining weight at all," the starlet explained.

According to E! News, the news anchor was told by her oncologist Dr. Dev Paul, that the medication she took for her cancer could affect her metabolism and weight, which it did.

"It's really hurtful," Rancic explained of the comments. "I'm sorry that some people think I'm disgustingly skinny, as they put it, but there's nothing I can do."

In fact, the 40-year-old star says that she "eat[s] more than any of [her] friends."

"I eat a very robust, healthy, balanced diet and dessert almost every night," Rancic explained. "I'm not hiding from anything."
