The Batman prequel, Gotham, has only two episodes left before its first season finale on Fox. In Episode 21, will detective Jim Gordon (Ben McKenzie) and gangster Oswald Coppleput/Penguin (Robin Lord Taylor) discover what could be Fish Mooney (Jada Pinkett Smith)'s "final push?"

In our previous recap, Gordon realized he was being setup to take the fall by Commissioner Loeb. There is a serial killer stalking woman in the streets of Gotham and has been on the loose for at least a decade. Gordon realized that if The Ogre (Milo Ventimiglia) discovers the police coming after him, the killer hunts after the officer's loved ones. While Fish was making her getaway from The Dollmaker (Colm Feore), she was wounded during the gun battle.

In our recent recap, while Gordon discovered the hideous origin of The Ogre, Edward discovered Kristin Kringle (Chelsea Spack) was being abused by her boyfriend. When Edward confronted Dougherty about her bruises, he made no apologies about what he was doing to her. When Edward and Dougherty confronted each other again, Nygma had to defend himself and stabbed Kringle's boyfriend again and again.

In an interview with Comic Book Resources, Taylor reveals what's coming up for Penguin and his war with Sal Maroni, "We've seen that in the pilot, when he goes behind Fish's back and they have their thing, and then we see it when he aligns himself with Maroni, goes behind his back and is working with Falcone the whole time. What we're going to see in the final four is the final push. He sets some things in motion that affect everyone in the show. Everyone in the show will be affected by what he does in the last four episodes, and it really is his final assertion to being his own boss, to being his own man."

In an interview with Entertainment Weekly, showrunner Bruno Heller teases Mooney's return, "Her time away and everything that she's gone through has given her a confidence in herself, and an inner strength. She comes back at a moment of crisis where Faclone and Maroni are in open conflict with each other. She has the possibility of running the whole town."
