37-year-old Didier Drogba proved to millions of Barclays Premier League fans that he still had the ability to play in one of the toughest football leagues in the world when he returned to Chelsea FC and helped win the EPL championship for the 2014/2015 season. Unfortunately, he's decided to leave his team for a different career, with many transfer rumors popping up ever since the Spring of 2015 announcement. This week, we've learned that Drogba could join his former teammate Frank Lampard in Major League Soccer, but with the Montreal Impact as his top choice. The goal-scorer also mentioned a stint at Inter Milan wouldn't be such a bad move! Read more on this news below.

If you've been following the transfer rumors around Drogba, you know that the Impact are on the top of the list, which would be beneficial for both the team and the player. Drogba would shine like other former BPL players, including Steven Gerrard who debuted on the Los Angeles Galaxy squad this week.

What's even more interesting is that the rumors are true! According to Montreal's president, Joey Saputo, talks with the striker have been ongoing and it's all just up to negotiations.

"I personally spoke to Didier. The ball is now in his camp. This is now beyond our control," he said, according to ESPNFC.com. "We're doing everything we can to bring Drogba to Montreal. I know that the Fire is also in discussion with him. We'll see what happens. I hope we will be lucky and he will decide to continue his career here. I think he can help us on many levels. It would fit perfectly with us. In addition, we are in a francophone market."

While we wait on the results of these talks, Drogba threw in a curve ball while talking about Inter Milan and how he'd be interested in playing there, too!

"Inter are a great club and certainly if they were to contact me I would love to listen to what they have to offer, but at the moment my only negotiations are with an MLS club." he told fcinter1908.it in a recent interview (via ESPNFC). "As far as Inter are concerned, it could become a definite option if they were to be interested."
