Work can oftentimes get the better of us. Because of this, we need to try to keep both calm and collective while in the office environment. Sadly, that's easier said than done. But don't worry – MStars News has some habits that you can break in order to maintain a happier disposition at work while you're busy being around people you may or may not want to be around.

You know, in a place, of course, you may or may not want to actually be in...

FOCUSING JUST ON WORK

The Huffington Post notes that it's important to think about things in your "outside-of-work life." Things such as your weekend plans, your nightly plans, your family, etc. Now, just to warn you, don't do this too much because you might not get any work done at all. (That's to say that you haven't been daydreaming all along already).

Regardless, the point here is that keeping focus on things that matter outside of work can actually make us happier people. Why? Because you realize there is more to life than work.

And despite what some people say, there is.

THINKING ABOUT ONLY THE NEGATIVE

This could be hard, but changing your perspective on your job can truly help. Surely you can find one thing that's good about your job... right? Hopefully? HuffPost suggests that every job does have both good and bad things.

So, for your sake, find the good things.

NOT CONFRONTING THE PROBLEM

If there's something (or someone) bugging you at work, it's best that you confront the problem head-on. If you don't, Lord only knows how long it's going to keep going. Plus, if you confront the problem, you might realize that you'll soon earn the respect from not only your co-workers, but also your boss.

Folks, how do you stay happy at work?
