BET fooled everyone when they announced that Nelly and his "Tip Drill" squad were returning for the infamous video music show, BET: Uncut, only to be pranking the world for their new show, Punk'd! This hilarious strategy seemed to work, and even had Nelly fired up and fans joking about suing the company.

The network announced Tuesday that they weren't going to bring Uncut back, pranking viewers to introduce their new show, Punk'd.

#BET done lied #BETUncut coming back was all fake! They announced that they will be having their own version of #PunkD instead!

During a Twitter exchange, Nelly and former star of Sister, Sister, Jackee Harry commented on the prank and tweeted: "I think @BET just Punk'd us! This ain't #BETUncut," the rapper said joking about the promo.

Jackee Harry replied: "Debra Lee's got an a** whoopin' coming her way! #BETUncut"

One fan added to the fun claiming that they were going to sue the network. They wrote: "I'm suing. @BET for emotional distress.. had the room all set up, candles lit, Vaseline & power towels ready & y'all pull this"

So funny. MStars News sees that a lot of people actually like the Uncut show.

It appears that social media sensations, King Bach and DeStorm Power will be part of the new Punk'd team.

That was a good way to turn up the ratings. We're sure Nelly knew the entire time that Uncut wasn't returning! Like King Bach said, "you can watch all of those videos online."

What a great way to end Nelly's show Nellyville. The season finale aired Tuesday night as well, right before everyone was "Punk'd."

Punk'd premieres on Tuesday, August 18 at 10:30p/9:30c.
