'Can't Hardly Wait' Sequel Rumors? Jennifer Love Hewitt Twitter Photo Teases Reunion

1990s heart throb Jennifer Love Hewitt became nostalgic this weekend when there was a screening of 1998s high school comedy Can't Hardly Wait at the Cinespia in Los Angeles. The former Criminal Minds star took to Twitter to tease a possible reunion sequel to the hit movie. Do you think it'll happen?

UPI says, "The 36-year-old star shared her interest in the potential project with her nearly 1 million Twitter followers Sunday."

She said, "'Can't Hardly Wait reunion movie anyone?' she tweeted Sunday. 'Let's get them to make it!'" Entertainment Weekly reports. It wouldn't be a complete bust. There are still so many fans of the original film and so many names associated with the film, that if they all came back on board for the sequel, it could be quite promising. The film is so well loved that Hewitt and much of the plot has been "parodied...in Not Another Teen Movie. The film also starred Ethan Embry, Lauren Ambrose, Selma Blair, Clea Duvall, Jerry O'Connell, Peter Facinelli, Donald Faison, and Seth Green. And if you look real quick, you'll be able to see a very young Jason Segel in one of his first screen roles," Inquisitr says.

When asked if he would return for the "pipe dream" of a sequel, Ethan Embry told E! News that he would "maybe" do the film but only "if they paid me more than the last time." He mentions how he would also like a say in the writing of the plot of the film. "[Preston would] have to get pretty dark," he told E! News. "[He and Amanda] would have to not be together anymore. I've beaten myself up quite a bit in the past 15 years. Yeah, so maybe, if he went down the actual Vonnegut writer's path. Amanda and him had a horrible breakup and there were kids involved. He drinks himself silly over a typewriter. I'd make that sequel."

Maybe if the right writer and rest of the team come on board, Hewitt will get her wish!
