Superman has almost no weaknesses, but he is not actually invincible. Batman will try to exploit those in Batman v. Superman: Dawn of Justice, in which Henry Cavill returns as the Man of Steel. In a recent interview, the actor reveals what he thinks is his character's greatest flaw.

Kryptonite and magic are two of Superman's few weaknesses, and other superpowered beings can sometimes give him a run for his money. But what does Cavill think could be Superman's downfall in this movie?

"Superman is a complex dude. People think Kryptonite can beat him. No. The only thing that can really beat Superman is Superman. His own noggin messing with him. His own moral choices," he told The Guardian. "When you have that to start with, the storytelling can really delve into something rich.”

Cavill raises an interesting point here. Those who dislike Superman as a character feel that way because the character is bland and uninteresting in their opinion. He squashes everybody easily and takes the stakes out of everything because he's unbeatable. He never changes. He's dull.

But Superman becomes a much more interesting character when the story explores how he tries to live among humans. The Kryptonian can literally destroy the planet if he sneezes too hard, so he has to live every moment of every day as if he's in a world made of glass that could shatter at any moment.

On the subject of Superman, Cavill also dismissed any notion that he would want to stop playing the character at some point. "It’s a wonderful role. There’s a huge potential there for complex storytelling, and I’m looking forward to exploring those avenues," he said. "Come on, it’s Superman! You can’t be pissed off at the idea of playing Superman for the rest of your life. 'Oh sorry, I’m just the grandaddy of all superheroes. It’s such a pain.’"
