'The X-Files' Revival PHOTO: David Duchovny, Gillian Anderson, Mitch Pileggi Meet Skinner!

Back by popular demand, Fox has released a new behind-the scenes photo from the iconic sci-fi/horror series. In the revival of The X-Files, will paranormal investigators Fox Mulder (David Duchovny) and Dana Scully (Gillian Anderson) need Walter Skinner (Mitch Pileggi)'s help?

As we previously mentioned,13 years have passed since FBI agents Fox Mulder and Dana Scully were on the TV screen solving weird and supernatural cases. The reboot of Fox's popular sci-fi series continues with 6 brand new episodes. Not only are the leads set to reprise their iconic roles, creator Chris Carter will takeover as showrunner for the franchise that launched his and many other careers.

According to The Wrap, the Sons of Anarchy actor will reprise his role once again. On her official Twitter account, Anderson posted the behind-the-scenes photo from the set of presumably Skinner's office. A staple prop in television series featuring federal agencies, a portrait of the current president is handing on the wall. You can see President Barack Obama in the background of the reunited trio.

Anderson tweets, "Best photo bomb in @thexfiles history! @davidduchovny @MitchPileggi1 @BarackObama"

In an interview with Fangoria, Pileggi discusses returning to the role that made him popular amongst fans, "The first scene we had together, it was like riding a bike; it was just natural, and it came like [snaps fingers]. Somebody said that Chris was sitting at the monitor with this huge smile on his face; they asked, 'What are you smiling about?' and he just pointed at the monitor. That makes me feel good, that he's very happy with what we're doing."

The Hollywood Reporter also mentions, Chuck star Vik Sahay will appear in an upcoming episode, playing a man that Mulder turns to for information. Sahay also released a snapshot on his official Twitter account.

The X-Files returns with a special two-night event beginning Sunday, January 24, 2016, following the NFC Championship Game. The event continues with its time period premiere on Monday, January 25, 2016 (8pm).
