On Friday, Marcus Morris, former power forward of the Phoenix Suns, was traded to the Detroit Pistons. This trade occurred without Marcus Morris' consent and greatly upset him and his twin brother, Markieff Morris, both of whom had signed extensions with Phoenix before last season.

Apparently, according to Yahoo Sports, the Phoenix Suns had made a salary dump during the height of the NBA free agency in an effort to open up cap space to sign LaMarcus Aldridge. This included a trade for Marcus Morris, twin brother of Markieff Morris, who also plays for the Suns. The team did not disclose this information with either one of the brothers, which only caused both brothers to feel disrespected and upset.

"Everybody knew how bad I wanted to play with my brother," Marcus Morris said. "Phoenix knew. For them to trade me without consent or telling or anything like that was kind of like a, I would say slap in the face, because of the contract I took from those guys and the money I took from them. That was kind of a slap in the face."

The two brothers had signed extensions with the Suns in an effort to play together for another season, but Phoenix had other plans. The Suns traded Morris, Reggie Bullock and Danny Granger to Detroit, receiving only a second-round draft pick in 2020. And while Phoenix made a bid to sign coveted free agent LaMarcus Aldridge, he ended up going to the Spurs.

According to EPSN, although Marcus and Markieff Morris aren't too happy with the trade, Detroit definitely is: "Had this been available to us before the draft, we would have done this deal," Stan Van Gundy said. "Yes, we went and chased a couple of free agents -- one, we backed out as the price went too steep. One just wanted to go back to where he was playing."

But because of the fact that Phoenix didn't keep their word or deal with the twin brothers, Markieff Morris took to Twitter to express his distaste and his decision to leave Phoenix:

Only time will tell whether or not Markieff Morris will remain in Phoenix.
