Stephanie Ready has just made the biggest move of her career by becoming the NBA's first full-time female analyst for the league. The broadcaster has made history as a woman in the NBA in the past, becoming the first female coach of a men’s professional team back in 2001.

Ready will be joining announcer Eric Collins and former Charlotte Hornets player Dell Curry to broadcast for the Hornets, leaving her mark in the sports industry this coming season.

“I didn’t set out to blaze a trail or be the first. It just naturally came because of the work that I was doing. Having said that though, I think that things happen for a reason and that there’s some people who may not be ready to do something because there’s a lot that comes with that,” penned Ready in her new Makers post.

She even took to her Twitter account to thank her supporters for the outstanding news, writing: “Thank u 4 all of the congratulatory wishes & kind words of encouragement! Thank you Fox Sports Southeast @FSCarolinas & @hornets! #Let'sGo.”

On top of having been the first female coach for a men’s professional team, Ready also made history when she became the D-1 league’s first female assistant coach. She was a standout basketball player at Coppin State College in Baltimore, and was urged to become a coach, and hold off on going to graduate school by the men’s basketball coach at the school.

In 2001, she was also named one of "The 56 Most Intriguing Blacks of 2001" by Ebony Magazine, along with other famous basketball players Shaquille O’Neal, Kobe Bryant, as well as Michael Jordan.

It sounds like Ready has an amazing road of accomplishments ahead of her, by seeing the ones she’s already checked off her list. Congratulations to her on the major career milestone!
