WGN America has released a new promo for the highly anticipated Season 2 of Manhattan. Rachel Brosnahan (Abby Isaacs), Olivia Williams (Liza Winter) and William Petersen (Col. Emmett Darrow), give a behind-the-scenes first look at the upcoming episodes.

As we previously mentioned, the second season will focus on the events leading up to Trinity test. This is the first detonation of an atomic weapon, which happened 70 years ago. While Charlie Isaacs (Ashley Zukerman) and Abby (Brosnahan) embrace and struggle with their unexpected new power on the Hill, physicist Frank Winter (John Benjamin Hickey), doesn't know how his A-bomb should be used. Meanwhile, Frank's botanist wife (Olivia Williams) battles with the top-secret compound's new commanding officer (Petersen).

As we mentioned before, the Academy of Television Arts has honored the drama with its first Emmy Award nomination and award for Outstanding Main Title Design. This marks the first Emmy win ever received for original programming on WGN America. The credits were designed by Imaginary Forces' Creative Director Dan Gregoras, Art Director Jeremy Cox, and Producer Jon Hasselll.

According to TV, the footage hints at the fractured relationships, broken trusts, and exposed secrets due to the fallout from the first season. As Williams explains the moral ambiguity, "This entire show is about the fallout of what happens when you bring people together in secret and ask them to create something incredibly violent."

And just in case you need a refresher course, Zap2it has an exclusive video recap of Season 1. Known as the Manhattan Project, everyone has to protect themselves when a nuclear weapon is on the line and World War II is raging on in the outside world. Get to meet Abby Isaacs (Brosnahan) and Michael Chernus (Louis 'Fritz' Fedowitz) all over again as their careers and lives are on the line.

Manhattan returns at 9pm on WGN America October 13.
