Despite the fact that Nick Cannon changed his appearance to look like comedy legend Richard Pryor when a biopic movie project was announced, it looks like director Lee Daniels decided on another actor for the role. Mike Epps has officially been cast as Pryor thanks to an amazing screen test that impressed Oprah Winfrey. HBO and Martin Scorsese are reportedly working on a Shutter Island TV series adaptation of the hit 2010 psychological thriller. Entitled Ashecliffe, the series will continue the working relationship between the director and the network, which also includes an upcoming series about the 1970s music world and Boardwalk Empire. Writer Dennis Lehane, who wrote the novel that Scorsese adapted into a film with Leonardo DiCaprio, is penning the pilot's script. Read More »
